Free Tri Racers Seminar – 5/07/13 May 6, 2013

Tuesday Night at 6:30–Free Triathlon Training Seminar!       Drawing for Free Practice TriRacers Tri-shorts and Tri-Jersey!
Topic:  Actual Case Studies:  The Science of Individualized Training Intensities.  By Dr. Greg Madison.
(Case studies of individuals of differing endurance pursuits to provide a glimpse into the science of individualized training intensities and periodization.)
TriRacers is hosting a special speaker for all members and their guests.  Dr. Greg Madison will be speaking on Tuesday, May 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.  Greg is a triathlete and many of you already know him.  His daughter, Mackenzie Madison is a pro triathlete.  He has been very involved in studies related to athletic performance through Des Moines University.  He is licensed by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, an ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist and a USA Triathlon Level I Certified Coach.  Additional, impressive information about Dr. Madison is attached.  Don’t Miss This Seminar!
Location is 5990 NE 14th Street, on the backside of Capitol City Church–the North entrance to the gym.   Dress for a workout following the seminar!
But wait, there’s more!  Free Triathlete strength training to follow the seminar.
 TriRacers has also been sponsoring a Tri-Strength training program from 7:30 to 8:30 on Tuesday nights and you’re invited to stay for a session–come any Tuesday!  The training is free for TriRacers and is focused on triathletes. Following is some information about the class and attached is a full description including information about the trainer.

Tri-Strength Training:    “A properly designed strength-training routine is an essential component of an endurance program, and should be followed throughout the entire training and racing season.  It is not an “extra” to your swim, bike and run training- it is a fundamental part of your overall program.”

Presented by the TriRacers Board:
A free strength and fitness training program specifically for triathletes, sponsored by TriRacers and Cap City Fitness.  This is a once-per-week class on Tuesday nights from 7:30 to 8:30 PM beginning March 26.  The initial class registration will be for 10 weeks.  The class will be held at Cap City Fitness, featuring state of the art equipment and a certified trainer for the class.  The address is 5990 NE 14th, just South of Ankeny.  See the attached document for more details.  Register at CapCityFitness.com .  Questions?  Reply to this email or call 289-1216.  Thanks!
